Mindfulness and ADHD: Tele-Class

»  If there were a mental training that improved your attention, impulse control, and quality of life –- would you try it?

»  If you could step back from old patterns and reactions and create a new way of handling stress and taking action in your life –- would you do it?

»  If you could have greater control over your ADHD symptoms –- would that make a difference?                 (Zylowska, 2012)

»» You can achieve all of these goals with training in mindfulness! ««

No matter where you turn these days – from popular magazines to research journals – mindfulness is a topic of interest. Increasing research evidence shows that training in mindfulness and meditation can make a significant difference in how individuals experience symptoms of ADHD and executive functioning challenges. In fact, some research shows that the training alone, even without further practice, confers benefits.

Individuals with ADHD can benefit from 4 or 9 class sessions.

Coaches can take the 9-session class for ICF Resource Development CEUs; or a 10-session class – with additional weekly fieldwork/self-study – for ICF Core Competency CEUs.

By participating in this tele-class course you will:

  1. Understand what research says about mindfulness for managing ADHD
  2. Learn mindfulness techniques developed directly from an evidence-based approach
  3. Enjoy the ease of learning by tele-class in the comfort of your own home or office
  4. Integrate mindfulness practices into your life through weekly homework
  5. Increase success with practice all week through mid-week email reminders
  6. Experience mindfulness exercises to help you:
  •     Stay in the present moment
  •     Focus your wandering mind
  •     Direct your awareness with intention
  •     Increase mindfulness of your body
  •     Become mindful of thoughts
  •     Develop mindfulness of feelings
  •     Improve communication
  •     Boost overall effectiveness

(Note: Coaches taking the 10 session class will also learn applications of mindfulness in coaching practice – through weekly fieldwork and self-study.)
